Both NB3 Foundation basketball teams have kicked off their summer season and are already building momentum on the court.

The freshman team, Team NB3F, has completed its second tournament and continues to make steady progress each week. The team recently began implementing a full-court press, which is already showing success. Players are developing a stronger understanding of the game, working together and competing with confidence. After a semifinal finish in their first tournament, the team continues to grow with each outing.

The NB3F Starz are also having a strong season. Since starting in early March, the team has consistently played with grit and determination. Most recently, they competed in the Don Haskins Memorial Tournament in El Paso, where they played up and earned second place in the eighth grade girls division.

Across both teams, NB3FIT basketball includes athletes from Rio Rancho, San Felipe Pueblo, Santo Domingo Pueblo, Sandia Pueblo, the Navajo Nation, Jemez Pueblo and Laguna Pueblo. The program continues to bring youth together to build skills, confidence and community through sport.
