NB3FIT MONTH GOALS:
-
Engage 5,000 Native American youth across the country in physical activity for a minimum of one hour per event during November!
-
Promote drinking clean water
-
Promote eating healthy foods
A national month of inspiration, learning and physical movement to support the health and fitness of Native youth across Indian Country. We are encouraging tribes, Native-led organizations, urban Indian centers, schools and groups to host a physical activity, fitness and/or health awareness event during NB3FIT MONTH.
Gather a team to coordinate a safe event in your community!
You’ll receive a marketing toolkit for your event too!
Here’s how to join!
Over the past two years NB3FIT Month engaged over 5,000 Native youth per year through 140 registered sites and over 130 physical activity and health-centered events in 21 states!
This year we want to increase those numbers, and your help is vital in reaching our goal.
Why should my tribe/organization participate?
NB3FIT Week is a one of a kind event dedicated to celebrating the health and fitness of our Native youth and communities. When you participate in NB3FIT Week you join fellow Native organizations, tribes and communities who all share the same goal of getting our Native youth and families active and healthy! Especially today, when youth programming and sports are being postponed, altered and canceled. It’s important for us to be creative and proactive, ensuring our youth with the opportunities to stay active and healthy!
How does my community participate safely?
Safety of our Native youth and communities is top priority. For NB3FIT Week there are many ways you can still participate, and be safe doing so.
We recommend always following the COVID-19 Safe Practices set forth in your community. Always practice social distancing and mask up!
