The NB3 Foundation Running Club wrapped up the 2026 USATF Region 10 Junior Olympic Championships in El Paso, Texas, with 41 athletes representing 13 tribal nations and pueblos. Throughout the meet, athletes competed with determination, supported one another and proudly represented their communities.
The team earned three Top 5 finishes, led by Christopher Nastacio (Pueblo of San Felipe), who placed second in the boys 15-16 javelin. Brayden Fragua (Pueblo of Jemez) finished fourth in the boys 13-14 800 meters, while Albert Quiver (Pueblo of San Felipe) placed fifth in the boys 11-12 shot put.
Several athletes also achieved personal best performances, reflecting their commitment to consistent training and growth. Brayden Fragua continued to establish himself as one of the region’s top middle-distance runners with personal bests in both the 800 meters (2:18.55) and 1,500 meters (4:49.48). Additional personal bests were recorded by Caleb Gonzales in the javelin, Mason Jones in the javelin and long jump, and Trevor Lovato in the 1,500 meters.
Christopher Nastacio delivered one of the club’s strongest all-around performances by earning runner-up honors in the javelin while also competing in the discus. Kellan Gachupin demonstrated outstanding versatility by competing in three throwing events, and Mason Jones showcased his well-rounded athleticism by competing in the javelin, long jump and shot put.
Team NB3 Foundation also fielded relay teams across five age divisions, giving athletes valuable championship experience while highlighting the strength and depth of the program.
We are incredibly proud of our athletes, coaches and families whose dedication throughout the season made these accomplishments possible. Every athlete who stepped onto the track or into the field demonstrated courage by competing against some of the best youth athletes in the Southwest, making this a memorable finish to another successful season.
